Congratulations on your admission to UNL’s MBA program. For the next two to four years, you will be primarily concentrating on your course work but you will still have a few important administrative details to attend to between now and commencement.

  • Registration - You will register for your classes through this web site. Approximately 30 days prior to each term start date the “Registration” page will be activated and you will be allowed to register for classes. Registration will remain open until 0800 on the last Friday before the term start or until the class is filled. While early registration is recommended, space in the course/s is not reserved until full payment is received. When you submit your registration request, you will receive a confirmation message which includes course access procedures and textbook order information.
  • Program Approval - Your first order of business should be to develop your program and get it approved. Your core (18 semester hours) and your cross-funtional courses (12 semester hours) are required but you still need to determine which electives you plan to take. Remember that three elective courses must be from three of the five business departments. (ACCT, ECON, FINA, MNGT, MRKT) and three elective courses may be used in a specialization.
  • Graduation – UNL holds three commencements per year, (early May, mid August and late December) Approximately six months before you plan to graduate you should begin familiarizing yourself with the details, requirements, and deadline dates of those requirements. 1. If you still have “Incomplete” grades, they will need to be cleared at least 30 days prior to graduation. 2. You will need to submit an “Application for Advanced Degree” approximately 90 days prior to graduation. 3. At the same time you submit your “Application for Advanced Degree”, you should also register for GRBA 098 - MBA Assessment. 4. The fourth requirement, the “Final Exam Report” will be submitted by the Distance MBA Office after you have applied for graduation and have registered for the MBA assessment.
