MBA Program

Problem Solving, Team Building, Ethics, Leadership

Program Approval

Before you are halfway through the program, you are required to file a Memorandum of Courses (MOC) with UNL. This document tells us which courses you plan to take as part of your MBA program and once we agree and sign your MOC, it is your assurance that we won't change the requirements for the degree.

Your core (18 semester hours) and your cross-funtional courses (12 semester hours) are required but you still need to determine which electives you plan to take. Remember that three elective courses must be from three of the five business departments. (ACCT, ECON, FINA, MNGT, MRKT) and three elective courses may be used in a specialization.

  • All information must be typed.
  • Fill in personal information. On the "Student ID Number" line, use your NUID not your Social Security Number.
  • If you intend to have a specialization, fill that line. If no intended specialization, leave this line blank.
  • In PROPOSED PROGRAM OF STUDY, the required core and cross-functional courses have been prepositioned. You will need to add the six elective courses that you intend to complete. If you have approved transfer credits, they should be substituted for prepositioned core and cross-functional courses or added as elective courses.
  • Save the file and email as an attachment to: cbachman1@unl.edu, jshutts1@unl.edu
