What is the cost of the program?

The current cost of the program is $1020 per course. Textbooks will average $100 per course. One time program fees include a $45 application fee, a $25 graduation fee and a $30 assessment fee.

Will I be required to come to campus to complete the program?

No. Campus visits are not required, but you are always welcome to visit if you wish.

Will my diploma or transcript designate that this was an "on-line" or a "distance" program?

No. UNL has only one MBA program with two different delivery methods, on-campus and on-line. Your diploma and transcripts will not differentiate between the two delivery methods.

Under what circumstances will you waive the GMAT requirement?

We will not waive the GMAT.

How long will it take me to complete the program?

You can complete the program in as few as two years but we will allow you ten years to complete the program. Most students take from two to four years.

I do not have five years of management/leadership experience. Can I still be admitted to the program?

Yes, you can still be admitted. The five years of experience, the 3.0 GPA and the 580 GMAT are recommendations, not requirements. Failure to meet the recommendation in one of these areas can be offset by exceeding the recommendation in the other areas.

How many hours of study time can I expect to spend on each course?

Although each student, course and professor is different, you should plan to spend four hours on-line and eight to twelve hours off-line per week, per course.

Are there specific times when students must be logged on to the course web site?

No. You will need to fulfill weekly course assignments but you will choose the time that you wish to work on those assignments. Some professors use on-line chat rooms and telephone conferences, and while your participation is encouraged, it is not required.

How are exams administered?

Just as you will find in classroom courses, each professor determines how he or she will administer exams. Some professors have no exams, some have open book "take home exams", some have on-line, timed exams and some will require you to provide a proctor who will administer your exam.

What are the application deadlines?

We have a rolling admission with no deadlines. You may register for classes in the first module following your admission to the program.

Do you accept transfer credit?

We will accept up to 12 semester hours of transfer credit from AACSB accredited programs and up to six semester hours of credit from non AACSB accredited programs. Transfer credit decisions are made by the admissions committee at the time your application package is reviewed for admission. If you want the committee to consider courses for transfer, please include a request for transfer credit along with course descriptions and syllabi with your application package. While we will not pre-approve transfer credit, AACSB accredited courses that most closely match our core courses are most likely to be approved for transfer.
