Study Abroad

Neil Donovan

Neil Donovan, an agribusiness MBA student, accompanied Governor Dave Heineman on the Governor’s Trade Mission to Cuba that has resulted in more than $60 million in commodities contracts.

MBA students can study abroad, intern in global companies, work on solving global business issues, and learn about different cultures from their classmates and professors. Professor Les Digman says, “a significant portion of the student body is international and most faculty members are actively involved in international activities, ensuring that students will be better prepared for the emerging global information age.”

The College of Business Adminstration is continually expanding its global connections by developing more relationships with international companies and with international schools of business. As a result, MBA students receive exposure to the important global marketplace.

Here are some ways that the MBA program strives to enhance students' international experience:

  • The College of Business Administration is a member of the Consortium of MBA Programs offering summer programs in the scenic northeastern city of Asolo, Italy.
  • Students can enhance their MBA with study abroad programs at Oxford University in England, Senshu University in Japan, ESCEM in France or a variety of other programs.
  • The Pan-Pacific Tour provides students with an intensive 3-week summer study that includes the Pan Pacific Conference.
